Drug abuse and addiction

Drug abuse and addiction disorders, are a disease and should therefore be taken very seriously. Instead of locking people up in prisons and jails, society needs to come to some kind of arrangement where the addict can get help. No addict needs temporary help. Addiction is a life long disease with absolutely no cure. Sure, addicts do go into remission,but chances of falling back into the cycle of drug abuse is more common than not. The addict is a slave to the drug, and is willing do what what he/she needs in order to support their habit.

I am introducing my first book "Sweet Melissa:Ignorance is not Bliss Book One, in order to help and guide the potential addict in what not to do. Everyone always has a solution on what you need to do to stop using drugs, but I have gone about things a bit differently, and would like to show you what not to do. Eventually, addiction will lead to death unless you get yourself under control. If you do not die, there will be times you wish you were dead.

You can live your life without controlled substances. It is not easy, but if you fully understand what indeed will happen, you might find a bit of help and guidance through my stories. Someone Like Me-Is there a connection between addiction and mental illness? I say there is! Some people say that addiction is a choice, but I know for a fact that it’s not. Mental illness plays a big part in a persons decision making process and lifestyle choices. I am now in the middle of writing my 7th book and I will explain in detail how my chemically imbalanced mind thinks and reacts. Well, at least how mine did before treatment anyway! Sure, I am no pro and I am not a doctor, but I have a genuine real life experience and a story to tell.
